DUNMORE — Artist Maria Gryzbowski specializes in acrylic and ink paintings of animals in a style she defines as “imaginary realism,” which considers both the real world and the illustrations of children’s story books in it expression.

Gryzbowski’s work is on display from Nov. 26 to Jan. 1 at the Wonderstone Gallery, 100 N. Blakely St. in an exhibit called “Animal Spirits.” Her multiple mediums include acrylic paint on birch, shadowboxes made from found materials, matted prints and original framed ink paintings.

An opening reception takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the gallery. Gryzbowski’s work can be seen at mariagryzbowskifineart.com.
