WILKES-BARRE — TruTV personality Michael Carbonaro is bringing his modern take on magic to the F.M. Kirby Center Dec. 16.

Carbonaro honed his skills at comedy clubs and in school gymnasiums before landing a number of appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” His success on that stage led to his own TV show, “The Carbonaro Effect,” a hidden camera series. Carbonaro has also appeared in “The Newsroom,” “30 Rock” and the “Rush Hour” television series.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16 show are $39.50, while VIP meet and greet packages are available for $150. Kirby Center members can make their purchase beginning at 10 a.m. Nov. 2 and general sale begins at 10 a.m. Nov. 4.

Visit the Kirby Center’s box office at 71 Public Square, call 570-826-1100 or visit KirbyCenter.org for tickets. VIP packages must be purchased online.
