Essential Oils Class. Free – $15. Learn to make after-sun spray, anti-itch roller and sugar scrub at The Greenhouse Project’s essential oils make-and-take class. Attendance is free, but there will be a $5 fee per item for those wanting to make oils to take home. Big Bad. $8 – $10. The Big Bad Wolf has wronged a lot of fairy folk during his tenure as a career bad guy, but his victims have decided to use The Enchanted Forest’s legal system to empower them against the huffer, puffer and house blower. Diva Theater will tell the tale in play form at 7 p.m. Aug. 12 and 13 on the theater’s 126 W. Market St., Scranton stage. Admission is $8 for students and seniors or $10 for everyone else. Disorder. $7. New Jersey band Disorder, a tribute to the sounds of Joy Division, will play 503 Linden St., Scranton establishment Irish Wolf Pub at 9 p.m. Aug. 13. The set will be supplemented by local song spinner DJ Quoth’s mix of The Smiths, Depeche Mode, The Cure and Siouxsie and the Banshees. For more information, call 570-342-0401.

Paws in the Park. $5 – $10. Does your pet have the best beach bod? Find out at Griffin Pond Animal Shelter’s Paws in the Park event, held from noon until 3:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at McDade Park, 1 E. Mountain Rd., Taylor. Along with the beach-themed costume contest, the event will offer demonstrations, local vendors and food, including a Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Truck.
