WILKES-BARRE — Gallery of Sound will host an in-store acoustic performance and meet-and-greet by the rock band Trapt 7 p.m. Sept. 15. The band will play in support of their new album “DNA,” out Sept. 19.

Pre-orders placed through Gallery of Sound stores in Wilkes-Barre, Dickson City or Hazleton will also come with a wristband that grants priority entry to the event, held at the store’s 186 Mundy St., Wilkes-Barre location. Online pre-orders will ship with a wristband. After all attendees with wristbands are inside, the store will admit others until full.

Trapt burst onto the mainstream rock scene in 2002 with their hit single “Headstrong.” Since then the band has four albums, with 2013’s “Reborn” being the first one released independently by the band. “DNA” will also be released and distributed without a record label, the band having raised funds for the album through crowdfunding site Indiegogo.
