Greater Hazleton Concert Series kicks off in September with Big Bag Voodoo Daddy

    HAZLETON — The Greater Hazleton Concert Series, a non-profit organization that books and promotes professional performances in the Hazleton community, has announced its 2016-17 line up.

    The swing revival band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will start the series Sept. 22, Siberian Virtuosi violinists with piano accompaniment will play Oct. 20 and folk/jazz group Annie Moses Band performs Nov. 16.

    After a break for the holidays, the series returns Feb. 21 with a performance form Peking Acrobats and a March. 21 performance by Jim Witter’s Piano Men Show. Artrageous, a troupe of artists, singers and dancers, will finish the series April 19.

    All performances start at 7:30 p.m. and are held at Hazleton Area High School, 1061 West 23 St., Hazleton.

    Memberships are available for $100 and include one ticket to all concerts in a season. Memberships for students are $50, while a family membership (two adults and one child) is $225. Tickets for each concert are also available at the door for $30 ($10 for students).
