El Caribefunk. $20 in advance. $23 day of the show. El Caribefunk performs a fusion of salsa, funk and Caribbean music at 8 p.m. Friday at the Hawley Silk Mill, 8 Silk Mill Dr., Hawley. The Colombian quartet has built an underground following throughout four years of nearly non-stop touring in the Americas. El Caribefunk has headlined festivals with acts like Bomba Estereo and Herencia de Timbiqui, and they’ve been featured on both NPR Music and Colombian National Radio. Original member Jim McCarty brings a lineup full of industry pros that has attracted rave reviews. American Freedom Festival. Free. This annual three day event takes place from July 2 through 4 in Dansbury Park on Day Street in East Stroudsburg. The festival features carnival rides, games, food trucks, vendors, live music and other entertainment. A fireworks display highlights July 4. Festival time varies by day. Nicodemo Rinaldis Art Exhibit. Free. World renowned photographer Nicodemo Rinaldis showcases and sells his photography from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Skytop Lodge, Route 390, Skytop. Rinaldis is known for capturing light in a moment and has captured incredible images to tell the Skytop story. The Italian photographer has been a judge of the international salon for Photographic Society of America, a multiple winner of the Mallas Award Trophy for color slide pictorial and the Skibneski trophy for nature.
