WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Barnes & Noble in the Arena Hub Plaza embarks on a month long celebration in anticipation of the new Harry Potter script book, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Parts One & Two,” starting at 7 p.m. June 24 and continuing until July 31.

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is a play written by Jack Thorne, based on the eighth book in the Harry Potter series, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Parts One & Two,” and it will be the first story to be presented on stage.

June 24 offers Barnes & Noble customers the opportunity to to enter the Harry Potter Limited Edition Sweepstakes for a chance to win a set of seven Harry Potter limited edition cover prints. Entry continues (one entry per store, per day) until July 30 when two customers will be chosen at random.

The June 24 event features Harry Potter themed coloring stations, give-aways, special Harry Potter food items at the Barnes & Noble Cafe and an 875-piece 3D puzzle of Hogwarts astronomy tower that all ages are invited to help put together.

A Countdown to Midnight Party starts at 8 p.m. July 30, leading up the the release.

The event features a Muggle Wall, where customers can share their favorite Harry Potter memories, and giveaways.

On July 31, customers are invited back to Barnes & Noble to discuss the new book and take part in even more themed events and activities.
