Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Mellencamp will play Wilkes-Barre’s F.M. Kirby Center Oct. 14.

WILKES-BARRE — John Mellencamp has completed over 100 sold out shows during his critically-acclaimed Plain Spoken Tour, and on Oct. 14 he’ll attempt to sell out Wilkes-Barre’s F.M. Kirby Center.

“Plain Spoken” is Mellencamp’s 22nd studio album, and the award-winning singer/songwriter has already completed six legs of touring in support of the release. His Wilkes-Barre show comes during his seventh and final leg of the tour and features support from country artist Carlene Carter.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14 show go on sale Friday, April 29 at 10 a.m. at the Kriby Center box office, online at kirbycenter.org and by phone at (570) 826-1100. Members can purchase tickets using the same methods a day earlier, 10 a.m. April 28.
