SCRANTON — Ales for ALZ is a ten-day event that will encourage Northeastern Pennsylvanians to be cognizant of brain health tips while raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Pennsylvania.

A kick-off benefit for Ales for ALZ will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. May 12 at The Leonard Theater, 335 Adams Avenue, Scranton. Tickets for the event are $30 if purchased before May 5 and $40 at the door the day of the event. They can be purchased online at act.alz.org/AlesforALZ or by phone at 570-822-9915, ext. 4022.

Attendees will be treated to samples of signature cocktails and appetizers by participating vendors. Ales for ALZ will include additional events throughout the region at restaurants and bars.

The Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Pennsylvania’s mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected and to reduce risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
