SCRANTON — On NBC’s “The Office,” fictional character Creed Bratton visited fictional paper company Dunder Mifflin’s fictional Scranton office as the company’s director of quality assurance. On April 17, the real Creed Bratton (his character was named after him) is scheduled to visit Scranton and perform comedy at the Scranton Cultural Center.

Along with his role in “The Office,” Bratton’s acting career includes appearances in movies like “Mask” and “Heart Like A Wheel” and television shows such as “Garfunkel and Oates” and “Comedy Bang! Bang!” He’s also one of the founding members of rock band The Grass Roots.

Bratton utilizes his background in both music and comedy to create his one-man show, which has an early start time of 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 17 in Scranton Cultural Center’s Shopland Hall, 420 North Washington Avenue, Scranton. Tickets are $19 for general admission and $29 for preferred seating and can be purchased by phoning (570) 344-1111, patronizing Scranton Cultural Center’s box office or visiting Ticketmaster.com.
