SCRANTON — The Scranton Cultural Center has announced its inaugural Buy Local: Spring Fling will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 3. Spread out over three floors at the SCC, the event will feature approximately 75 vendors showcasing area businesses, artisans and wineries as well as a home and garden section.

Admission for the event is $1. The first 1,000 patrons through the door will receive a free reusable shopping bag courtesy of First National Community Bank. Food and drink will be available for purchase in the SCC Cafe, which will be located on the second floor in the Ladies Parlor. Families will be able to preview the 2016 Summer Camp Program in the Kid Zone on the SCC’s lower level, and a basket raffle will be available.

Limited vendor slots are available. The selection process is done by jury, meaning applying does not insure acceptance, and accepted vendors must pay a fee of $100. Interested organizations can apply by visiting www.sccmt.org/buy-local/. Questions can be sent to buylocal@sccmt.org.
