SCRANTON — Jersey Shore musical group, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes will perform at 8 p.m. on March 19 at the Scranton Cultural Center, 420 North Washington Ave. The concert will take place inside the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Theater.

The band, led by Southside Johnny, is closely associated with Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. E Street Band guitarist Steve Van Zandt was co-leader, guitarist, songwriter, arranger and producer for the Asbury Jukes during their formative years, and the group has recorded and performed several Springstein tunes. The band has also played with “The Boss” on multiple occasions. Other E Street alumni like Max Weinberg and Clarence Clemons have toured with the Asbury Jukes, and Jon Bon Jovi toured with the band in 1990.

Tickets for the show range from $32 to $39 and can be purchased at the Fidelity Bank Box Office at the SCC, by calling 570-344-1111 or via applicable Ticketmaster outlets. Doors open at 7:30.
