Hometown: Alex was born in Sunbury, PA and lived there until he was 10. Alex considers his roots to be right outside of Philly where he lived from ages 10-18. Currently he resides in Mountain Top.
Favorite Weekender Feature: I love anything that has to do with the local music scene.
Something Most People Don’t Know About Me: I love running and I primarily listen to rap music, despite the soft, acoustic music that I write and play.
Passionate About: Something I’m very passionate about, other than music, would be equality. I’m very passionate about making sure everyone is treated the same way and there would be no hatred. I’m passionate about spreading only love and good, positive vibes.
Cat or Dog Person: I’d have to say I’d prefer having a dog, but having a cat wouldn’t be too bad.
Favorite Meal: My favorite meal would have to be chicken parmesan. I was a vegetarian for like the entire summer and a little before the summer, but I had chicken in September, and now I can’t stop eating meat this time.
My Theme Song Would Be: My theme song would have to be a newer Mac Miller song called “Weekend.”
Best Concert: I got a chance to see John Mayer many years ago, and that was easily the best concert I’ve ever been to.
For A Good Time I: I usually hang with three of my best friends in the area when I’m not writing or playing music, working, or going to school.
Biggest Accomplishment: My biggest accomplishment would definitely have to be the release of my debut album “Rejects & Whiskey” in late May of 2015.
Who Do You Admire?: I really admire Jason Mraz. He’s an all-around phenomenal dude who does his part in bettering the world one day at a time, and takes great care of Mother Earth.
Why did you want to become man of the week?: I thought it would be a really cool honor to be a part of something in the local music scene. It plays a huge part in promoting myself without paying an arm and a leg to do so.
