Favorite Weekender Feature: Model of the Week. I like how it is regular people just like you or I. It give us regular people the chance to feel important, attractive, liked, or just generally good about themselves. I know in the grand scheme of things, it’s no big deal nor is it forever life changing. But on a smaller, more personal scale, my confidence, self worth, and self-esteem have all been affected positively by this experience. So the fact that the Weekender gives people from the area this opportunity to feel good about themselves, even if it’s just for a short time, makes this my favorite feature.
For a good time I… Like to take apart, repair, repurpose, modify, design, or build eletronic devices. Cell phones, computers, gaming systems, tablets, etc.
What’s something most people don’t know about you? Excluding swim trunks, I haven’t owned or worn a pair of shorts in the past 20 years.
Are you a dog person or a cat person? I’m both. I like the cleanliness, independence, and low maintenance of a cat. But I also like the loyalty, compassion, and protection that comes from a dog.
My last meal would be … As many BBQ drums from Eden: A Vegan Cafe that my stomach would physically allow me to eat (Which turns out to be about 12).
My theme song would be … “Whatta Man” by Salt ‘N’ Pepa
My best concert was … Paul McCartney at this years Firefly festival in Delaware. That man is 73 years old, but still rocks out like a bad-ass.
Favorite bar/restaurant: “The Baxter” in North Carolina. Does the standard bar stuff, but also has over 50 classic arcade machines, each costing just a quarter per play.
Who do you admire? My younger brother Patrick for going into the US Air Force.
