Are you a die hard Rat Pack fan who may have never had the chance to see them perform live? Did you see them live and wish you could relive that magical evening?
The Rat Pack tribute group has performed around the world and JZ Tours, a Scranton based tour company, is bringing the tribute show to the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel on March 3 and 4. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr. will come to life on stage.
JZ Tours owner, John Zelinski says “The Rack Pack is one of the top tributes in the country. They play all over the states and Las Vegas.”
Local performances are relatively new for the company. Zelinski said that for 16 years, his company has mainly focused on planning great bus trips for people to “baseball, football, concerts and wine trips.” He adds, “the last few years we have been putting together great local events in the area for people to see great shows and acts at a great price.”
Zelinski is always looking for new acts, he said. He features “great local bands and events to give people a great night out, as well as national acts. I have had people come from all over, even out of state, to attend events.” He encourages people to “make a overnight trip and a little getaway” out of his events.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. The Rat Pack Tribute Group takes stage following dinner at 8:30 p.m. During cocktail hour, attendees can enjoy music from Nicole Rasmus, an Old Forge resident who performs pop standards and jazz.
General seating is $75, with a VIP package for $95. The VIP package includes center seating and a meet and greet with cast members of the tribute group. If you purchase nine seats, the 10th seat is included free of charge. There is also a package option that does not include dinner.
Dinner includes an entree selection of chicken portabella, short ribs or West Coast sole. Dinner also includes a house salad, whipped potatoes, a vegetable and dessert. While there is a cash bar for alcohol, coffee, hot tea or iced tea is included.
Zelinski encourages people to get tickets soon.
“People are calling and ordering online every day. We have over 400 (tickets) presold as of last Friday. It’s going to be an awesome event if you just get the ticket package or if you get the dinner and show (option).”
