Pittston Township – Junior Achievement of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Inc. (JA) will holds its second annual “A Chair Affair” from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 5.

“A Chair Affair” features all sorts of chairs, some painted by artists and others donated by local businesses, paired with gift certificates and other items to make for a wide variety of prizes. Some chairs will be offered in a silent auction and awarded to the highest bidder, while others will be raffled. Local restaurants, caterers, wineries, and breweries will offer tastings of their food and drink specialties, and guests can also purchase chances to win a great holiday raffle valued at $1,000 in gift cards.

Tickets for “A Chair Affair” are $35 per person and can be purchased online at www.janepa.org, or by calling (570)602-3600. All proceeds from the event benefit JA programs in the local area. The funds raised will help JA continue to provide both in-class and on-site programs focusing on work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy for students in grades K-12. Last year more than 11,000 students in northeastern Pennsylvania participated in JA programs.

A Chair Affair is sponsored by Jacobi Capital Management and hosted by Christie Bonnice State Farm, and will take place at the Junior Achievement facility, the JA Mericle Family Center for Enterprise Education, 1122 Oak Street, Pittston Township.
