The Wonder Years will play an acoustic show at Gallery of Sound on Sept. 3 as part of a tour celebrating the release of their new record, “No Closer to Heaven.”

Lansdale, Pennsylvania pop-punk band The Wonder Years will play an acoustic set at Wilkes-Barre record store Gallery of Sound’s Mundy Street location to celebrate the release of their new record, “No Closer to Heaven.”

The Sept. 3 show will start at 6 p.m and Gallery of Sound customers who have pre-ordered the album on CD or vinyl will receive a wristband for priority entry into the event. Gallery of Sound co-owner Joe Nardone Jr. expects wristbands to sell out, meaning that there won’t be room inside for non-banded fans.

The standard CD or blue and maroon swirl double LP of “No Closer to Heaven” can be pre-ordered at any Gallery of Sound location or at the store’s website. When ordering online, acoustic show attendees should choose ‘store pickup’ as their shipping option.

“No Closer to Heaven” is The Wonder Years’ third full-length for Hopeless Records. The band released a music video for the album’s second single, “Cigarettes & Saints,” last week.
