Philly Wine Week: Philly Wine Week, the city’s annual celebration of wine, comes to a close on March 26. The festival offers specials and events at over 50 venues across Philadelphia, including Tria, Vernick, Good King Tavern and Johnny Brenda’s. American Whiskey Convention: Wine not your thing? On Friday, March 24, the annual American Whiskey Convention returns to Citizens Bank Park. This year features even more whiskey than previous years. VIP tickets are $150 and includes a Glencairn tasting glass and access to a tasting buffet, as well as discussion forums and master tastings. Women in Animation Film Festival: This special festival takes place at Moore College of Art and Design from March 23-26. The weekend includes screenings of animated films, all created by women. Attendees also have the opportunity to meet artists and attend panels. The festival is free and open to the public. Be Beautiful Expo: This day of empowerment, music, shopping and fun is the largest expo for women of color in Philly. On March 25, the Pennsylvania Convention Center will be home to more than 200 vendors, live performances and celebrity workshops. Features include a beauty lounge, auto zone, health-and-wellness area and a Kids’ Zone, featuring an exhibit by the Please Touch Museum. The day runs from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Tickets are $15.
