Back-to-back concert nights. $29 to $45. Penn’s Peak will host two classic concerts this week. First up is Cheap Trick, playing the 325 Maury Road, Jim Thorpe venue 8 p.m. Nov. 3. The Doll Sisters. $19 to $22. Jenna Leigh Doll and Shelby Doll are a Canadian duo drawing on American and Celtic folk roots to create their own interpretation of heritage music. Last chance to scream. $7 to $25.Halloween haunts are once again nearing their 11 month slumber, and this weekend is the last chance to seek out scares before next September. Alvins Offroad Playground, 2069 Long Pond Road, Long Pond, offers haunted ATV rides through 70 acres of zombies, chainsaw wielding maniacs and more at $25 for a driver or $15 for a passenger, along with traditional haunted hayrides for $7. Pocono Cupcake Challenge. $10. In a cupcake competition, everybody’s a winner and the participation trophies are delicious. From noon to 3 p.m., Nov. 6, the fifth Annual Pocono Cupcake Challenge will take over The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort, 100 Shawnee Inn Drive, Shawnee on Delaware. Participants will compete in a number of cupcake categories, and spectators can poach four cupcakes in exchange for a $10 donation to United Way of Monroe County.
