PLAINS TWP. — Disco darlings KC and the Sunshine Band perform at 8 p.m. Nov. 20 in the Keystone Grand Ballroom at Mohegan Sun Pocono, 1280 state Route 315.

The popular group that came to prominence in the ’70s is known for the multi-platinum hits “Get Down Tonight,” “That’s The Way I Like It,” “Shake, Shake, Shake, Shake Your Booty” and “Boogie Shoes.”

Tickets for the Nov. 20 performance go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 2 through the Mohegan Sun Pocono box office, online at ticketmaster.com and by phone 1-800-745-3000, and tickets start at $29.

The Sunshine Band recently released “Feeling You! The ’60s in 2015,” a tribute to the music that influenced front man H.W. Casey aka KC. The album features covers of songs by Bob Dylan, Ben. E. King, The Kinks, The Righteous Brothers, Aaron Neville and more.

The band has sold more than 100 million records and has received nine Grammy nominations and three Grammy Awards. KC’s music can be heard on a variety of commercials today and on the soundtracks for movies like “Forrest Gump,” “Boogie Nights” and “Carlito’s Way.”
