The Reebok Spartan Sprint. Starts at $79. Have you always wanted to try a Spartan Race? This one is the shortest distance, perfect for athletes of all levels. The three-mile sprint features more than 20 Spartan obstacles designed to test your physical ability. The race begins at 7:30 a.m. July 23 at 1660 Blue Mountain Drive, Palmerton. Known fo his 2003 hit Be Faithful, Freeman earned his nickname after he appeared as an ice cream in in the Fugees’ music video for Killing Me Softly. Moonlight Rafting. $100. It’s summer and you have to make the most of your days, even if the days blend into night. Or late night. Rafting in the Dark is a summer adventure sponsored by Pocono Whitewater. Raft under the stars on the Lehigh River in Jim Thorpe. Take off at sundown to explore the nightlife under a midsummer moon. Glow sticks provide minimal light. Sharpen your other senses such as sound and motion. A whitewater rafting guide will accompany you to help navigate. After the whitewater adventure, enjoy company around a bonfire. Get warm, toast marshmallows and enjoy some wine and light snacks. One Day Battles and Paddles. $67. At 9 a.m., July 23 start an action packed combo of paintball and whitewater rafting at Pocono Whitewater Adventure, 1519 State route 903, Jim Thorpe.
