WILKES-BARRE — Space Oddity: The Ultimate David Bowie Experience takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 9 at the F.M. Kirby Center, 71 Public Square.

According to a press release from the Kirby Center, the Bowie Experience, led by Bowie impersonator David Brighton, is the world’s most notable Bowie tribute.

Brighton made a name for himself as the lead guitar player in Quiet Riot after the departure of guitar icon Randy Rhoads. He’s also been celebrated for his work as a session player and has been involved with a multitude of studio projects and movie soundtracks.

Brighton has impersonated Bowie in TV commercials, series and a concert video for Shakira. He had a part in Bowie’s 2003 record “Reality” and performed side by side with the Starman himself. Brighton has shared stages with the likes of Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Three Dog Night and Little Richard.

Tickets for the show range from $19.50 to $39.50 and are available now at the Kirby Center box office, by phone at 570-826-1100 and online at kirbycenter.org.
