WILKES-BARRE — Heat Bar & Nightclub, 71 North Main St., will hold a benefit at 11:30 p.m. June 17 for the victims of the mass shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

Doors open at 8 p.m., and a $7 cover charge includes performances by drag queens Pissi Myles, Astala Vista, Judy Darling, house diva Estella Sweet and more.

Ten percent of all sales and the proceeds from admission charges will be donated to the “Support Victims of Pulse Shooting” GoFundMe page.

Club proprietor Shawn Ebert said, “I felt this specific GoFundMe was best, because GoFundMe itself donated $100,000, essentially waving all fees from their site, which means 100 percent of all donations actually go to the cause it was raised for.”

The event is 21 and over, and proper ID is required for entry.

For more information or to reserve a VIP table, contact Heat at 570-266-8952.
