WILKES-BARRE — New York City ska band The Toasters will take the Live at the Chandelier Lobby concert series stage Sept. 23 at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts and turn the lobby into a dance hall.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. show go on sale 10 a.m. June 17 at kirbycenter.org, the Kirby Center box office on Public Square or by phone at 570-826-1100. A 10 a.m. June 15 pre-sale is scheduled for Kirby Center members. Admission is $15 in advance, $20 at the door.

The Toasters have been playing their high energy brand of ska since 1981, while the Moon Ska Records label started by band vocalist Robert “Bucket” Hingley has introduced fans to groups like Dance Hall Crashers, Mustard Plug, The Pietasters and The Slackers. The Toasters’ latest release is 2007’s “One More Bullet.”
