WILKES-BARRE — On Saturday, Sept. 10, Beatles tribute band and wordplay aficionados The Fab Faux will play downtown Wilkes-Barre’s F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts.

The band began as a passion project of former “Late Show With David Letterman” bassist Paul Shaffer. Shaffer wanted to create a Beatles-centric concert experience that focused on substance over style and highlighted the musical compositions of The Boys from Liverpool over their more theatrical traits.

Tickets to see the five members of The Fab Faux are on sale 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11 for Kirby Center members and 10 a.m. Friday, May 13 for the public. Tickets can be ordered by phone at (570) 826-1100 or online at kirbycenter.org.
