Friends of Little Theater of Wilkes-Barre hosting Marvel-ous Captain America themed fundraiser

WILKES-BARRE — At noon April 30, Friends of Little Theater of Wilkes-Barre will host a 12-hour Marvel movie marathon at the theatre building, located at 537 North Main St., Wilkes-Barre.

The event, which will be held in conjunction with Wilkes-Barre’s R/C Theaters Movies 14 and Edwardsville’s Tactical Advantage Gaming, will feature a cash bar, food by What the Fork, trivia, costume contests and screenings of every Marvel movie featuring Captain America.

Attendees will receive a voucher for admission to the latest movie in the character’s franchise, “Captain America: Civil War,” redeemable when the film is released May 5 at Movies 14.

Tickets for the event are $25 and can be purchased at marvelwb.eventbrite.com, by phone at (570) 408-1741 or at the door day-of.

Doors open at 11:45 a.m. and the screening of “Captain America: The First Avenger” starts at 12:15 p.m. Costume contests, trivia and food breaks will serve as intermissions, with a 9 p.m. screening of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” closing out the event.
