Spring 2016 Film Festival & Gala: Enjoy a night of movies, food, beer and wine. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. April 1 at the Dietrich Theater in downtown Tunkhannock. The event is the kick off gala for its 2016 Film Festival. The gala is $40 per person and includes food, drinks and desserts and the festival continues through April 21. Pocono Spring Waterfalls: Take advantage of the beautiful surroundings with a three-hour tour of waterfalls throughout the Poconos. From 9 a.m. to noon April 3, head to the Pocono Environmental Education Center, 538 Emery Road, Dingmans Ferry and bring a camera. Wine Wedensday anyone?: On April 6,The Fernwood Wine Trail invites guests to experience the Poconos and sample wine from two of Pennsylvania’s wineries —Blue Ridge Estate Vineyard and Winery and Franklin Hill Vineyards. $45 gets you transportation to and from the vineyards and four hours of tours and tasting.
