Tattoo recipient calls upon artist to help commemorate second wedding anniversary
John Kowalski sat in tattoo artist Whitey Ellis’ chair once before.
The 27-year-old former Mountain Top resident said he was in the market for a meaningful and personal tattoo.
“I wanted to commemorate my wedding anniversary,” Kowalski said. “Our second anniversary is coming up, and I’d love to memorialize our relationship.”
So Kowalski, now of Dupont called upon Ellis.
He said that Ellis uses an original flash design with custom elements added. He said that Ellis has an An illustrative-style ship’s wheel with a realism-esque anchor in the center, featuring his wedding date and the text.
Ellis “is a great guy – great art, great environment, great personality,” Kowalski said. “I have no trouble trusting him and letting him do his own thing with the direction of the tattoo.”
