SCRANTON — Some of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s most notable blues musicians are gathering at the Scranton Cultural Center to benefit the ongoing operations, restoration and programming at the SCC.

Soul Shakers Winter Blues Guitarmageddon will take place at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26 in the Grand Ballroom at the SCC, 420 North Washington Ave. The Soul Shakers Rhythm Section, made up of Sharon O’Connell and Bill Coleman will combine talents with keyboard player Eric Brody to be the backing band for Phyllis Hopkins, Doug & Eamonn Hubert, Bob McCartney, Teddy Young, Clarence Spady, Matt Bennick and Peter Florance.

Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased at the Fidelity Bank Box Office at the SCC, by calling 570-344-1111 or at all applicable Ticketmaster outlets. A cash bar will be available on the evening of the event, and the Peculiar Culinary Company’s food truck will be on site with food for purchase. Doors open at 7 p.m., and additional information is available at www.sccmt.org.
