SCRANTON — With the first show in the 2016 Times-Tribune Children’s Series, Theatreworks USA is putting on a production of “Henry and Mudge,” a play based on the best-selling series of books by Cynthia Rylant, at 11 a.m. on Feb. 20 at the Scranton Cultural Center.

The production follows a young boy Henry and his 182 pound canine companion Mudge as they move from the city to a house in the country and adjust to life in a new place. The adventures and misadventures of the duo teach Henry a lot about taking care of a pet and about the nature of love.

Before the show, a Wiggles and Giggles Craft Workshop will take place at 10 a.m. Tickets for the show are $8 and tickets for the workshop are $5. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Tickets can be bought at the Fidelity Bank Box Office at the SCC in person or by calling 570-341-1111, or they can be purchased through applicable Ticketmaster outlets.
