WILKES-BARRE — Stand-up comedian, actor and TV show host, Adam Ferrara will perform at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. on April 9 at the F.M. Kirby Center. He will be the first comedian to perform live from the Chandelier Lobby.

Ferrara, who is also known for playing Chief Needles Nelson on the Emmy nominated FX series Rescue Me and for his role on Showtime’s Nurse Jackie among other television credits, has an impressive comedy resume. He has opened for his idol, George Carlin, and performed at Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall and the Apollo Theater.

Ferrara has been nominated twice for best male stand-up by the American Comedy Awards, and he has recorded three specials on Comedy Central. Currently, Ferrara is the host of the hit show Top Gear US, which airs on the History Channel.

Tickets to see Ferrara “Live from the Chandelier Lobby” are $20.50 in advance and $25 the day of the show. They go on sale at 10 a.m. on Jan. 22 and will be available through the Kirby Center box office, online at www.kirbycenter.org and charge by phone at 570-826-1100. Kirby members can take part in a pre-sale at 10 a.m. on Jan. 20.
