Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic will perform two holiday shows this year: 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4 at Scranton Cultural Center and 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 at F.M. Kirby Center. Tickets can be bought at each venue’s box office the night of the event and start at $30 for adults and $15 for children.

The concert, which is built upon a home for the holidays theme, features numbers like “Oh Holy Night,” “Santa Baby,” “Sleigh Ride” and “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers.”

The concert’s three guests are tied to its theme; soprano Jessie Hooker is a Wilkes-Barre native currently performing in off-Broadway productions and tenor Mark Andrew Kratz is a Plymouth native who has performed in a number of productions. Dr. Victor Liva is the current orchestra director and coordinator of string studies at Cleveland State University and is on the conducting staff at the Performing Arts Institute of Wyoming Seminary in Kingston.
