JIM THORPE—The Mauch Chunk Opera House will host Craig Thatcher’s Tribute to Jimi Hendrix on Friday, Nov. 13 at 8 p.m.

Thatcher (guitar), Wayde Leonard (bass/vocals) and Don Plowman (drums) have crafted a show that features classics like “Purple Haze,” All Along the Watchtower” and “Hey Joe,” while also including jams like “Machine Gun” and “Who Knows.”

Jimi Hendrix died in London on Sept. 18, 1970 at the age of 27. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame calls him “arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music.”
