Everybody with an Instagram filter thinks they’re a model. And on Friday night, one guy and one girl from Northeast PA had the opportunity to be crowned the ultimate model — of the year.
Jeremy Melton, from Plains, and Tiffany Kolesar, from Plymouth, reigned Man and Model of the Year.
Melton said he felt honored to represent Weekender for the next year.
“I love the Weekender,” he said. “It gives you the fun, entertaining events that go on in the area, and then it gives you the issues everybody else is afraid to talk about, which is important, like being transgender.”
Kolesar shared her excitement after winning.
“I can’t believe I won,” she said. “I get to represent the Weekender for the next year. The Weekender is such a big part of what makes the area so exciting, and to be a part of that is a big honor for me.”
Winners were selected by online votes from readers, votes from attendees of the Man and Model of the Year party, and a judge vote.
Judges for the event included WBRE-TV anchor, Jasmine Brooks, Weekender’s “Girl Talk” columnist, Melissa Hughes, Coal Creative’s Gerard Durling, and more.
