Happy October. At least it should be half happy for our Libra birthday girls, but don’t get too comfortable. Uranus, the planet of revolution, loves to turn lives upside down. Tread softly, Libras, Aries, Cancer and Capricorn.

Virgos need to refrain from blasting off and gaining weight, while Scorpios are on the back burner cautiously waiting for November.

In the meantime, Neptune continues to swim up the lazy river taking one stroke forward and ten backwards. By the time it reaches land, its waves will have crashed against Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, and of course Pisces. That only leaves Taurus, Leo, and Aquarius to turn heads with their hair.

In the meantime:

Aries: Ombre is the way to go. Roots to mid shaft, golden blonde, gradually fade to a strawberry blonde. Looks better on long hair.

Taurus: After getting fresh platinum highlights, wrap your hair around a two-inch wand just once. Keep the ends straight.

Gemini: Try the new rage, which is the color gray. Yep, the entire head. Paint your lips pink, and you’ll look irresistible.

Cancer: Instead of getting color only, get eyelashes as well. (You deserve it.)

Leo: Imagine a dish of chocolate pudding sitting near a window with the sunlight shining on it. Tell your colorist to copy it, and then curl it. Delicious!

Virgo: I dare you! The top of your hair brown, underneath blonde. Paint your eyelids turquoise, your lips purple. That’s a confident statement!

Libra: It’s your month, have a ball. Do whatever you want. Happy birthday M.R.

Scorpio: A razored wedge, long side bang. Color: Black with copper highlights.

Sagittarius: The 70’s is the rage. For you—a center part, long and voluminous.

Capricorn: Auburn, full bang, shoulder length, some long layers.

Aquarius: The shades of a cornstalk, neutral blonde and light brown highlights. Iron it perfectly straight.

Pisces: A mid-length shag, very piecey. Red base, then golden highlights. This will cause a pink reflection. It is Halloween, ya know.

Until next month, mind your stars.
