OLYPHANT — Parents looking for a safe trick-or-treat alternative this Halloween can take their child to the Wargo Sports Complex in Olyphant at 1 p.m. Oct. 25 for Trunk or Treat.

Over 300 children attended last year’s Trunk or Treat event, which brings a group of pre-registered vehicles together on a baseball field at the sports complex for a “safe and secure” trick-or-treating experience. The Eureka Volunteer Fire Company, located across the street from the baseball field, will offer child fingerprinting, hot dogs and hot chocolate starting at 3 p.m.

Trunk or Treat is currently accepting treat donations and car registrations. Interested parties can contact David Krukovitz at (570) 780-4446 or Paula Foley at (570) 351-8452. All registered vehicles/trunks must come decorated for Halloween. A prize will be awarded for best decorated.
