Let’s get real: The difference between a boy and a man can be settled with Netflix

Dear Melissa,

I was talking to this new guy who asked me to watch Netflix and chill with him. I did not know this was the new lingo for hey come over and go down on me. We started watching the movie and then out of nowhere I feel his hand on the back of my head. When I asked him what he was doing he said that I agreed to Netflix and chill. If I just wanted to watch a movie I should have been more specific. He then got up and left and I am just floored. Am I the only one who didn’t know this?

I really just wanted to watch a movie

Dear Movie Watcher,

This guy sounds like a total loser. Clearly he was only interested in getting one thing out of you and you are so much better than that. It’s his loss. There are guys out there who will watch the movie with you. You should feel no grief over this guy’s terminology and if he has to shove your head toward his nether region by force, he clearly has no clue how to actually be with a woman. Just consider yourself an informed party and we will make this advice column a PSA for our readers. If a guy asks you to “Netflix and Chill” state specifically that you really want to watch a movie. Be blunt, if he can’t respect that, then he is a boy and not a man at all.
