What’s Halloween without a few monsters?

These little guys are a cute and tasty treat, sure to brighten up any Halloween party spread.

First blend your 1 egg, 1/2 cup (or one stick) of room temperature butter, 1 pack of softened cream cheese and dash of vanilla in a bowl. Mix it until it is fluffy. You will be able to see the consistency change.

Next add in the box of white cake mix. Adding it gradually will allow all the ingredients to mix a little easier. After all the ingredients are mixed, separate the mixture into several bowls and add a different food coloring to each.

Mix each bowl of cookie dough until the food coloring is completely blended in. Refrigerate the colored dough for about 30 minutes. This will make portioning them out onto the cookie sheet easier and less sticky.

Grease a cookie sheet and form small balls out of dough. Lightly coat them in powdered sugar and gently press them down on the cookie sheet. They’ll spread out a little while cooking, but 16-20 cookies should fit on one sheet at a time.

Cook in a 350 degree, preheated oven for about 10 minutes.

Take them out and place some candy eyes on your little monsters. If you have other candy monster features go ahead and place them on the cookies as well.

I used candy mustaches to make my tiny monsters little hipsters and a little bit of black decorative gel frosting to add some spooky grins.

Let cool and enjoy.
