Cupid and Lady Luck unite this Valentine’s Day as happy couples are invited to Mount Airy Casino Resort for a night of romance in the Poconos. On Friday, Feb. 14 at 3 p.m. inside Gypsies Lounge and Nightclub, Mt. Airy will host its second annual Valentine’s Day Wedding Vow Renewal Extravaganza.
During a candlelit ceremony from the Gypsies stage, transformed for the evening to matrimonial perfection, Catherine Thayer, convention sales manager for Mt. Airy, responsible for booking large events including weddings, will lead couples in remembering the reasons they said, “I do,” in the first place.
Countless inquiries from eager couples planning to attend the vow renewal ceremony this year were made on the Mount Airy Casino Resort official Facebook page, attesting to the success of the event its first time around.
“Last year, more than 500 couples renewed their vows at Mount Airy on Valentine’s Day. It was an extraordinary event, and we are excited to see how many couples will say, ‘I do,’ to their loved ones again this year,” said John Culetsu, executive vice president and general manager of Mt. Airy Casino Resort.
Following each individual vow renewal ceremony, couples are provided with a complimentary celebratory champagne toast, wedding cake, two passes to the lavish Valentine’s Day buffet, and $10 worth of casino free play. Live entertainment by Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes as well as electronics giveaways will continue into the night.
The event is open to the public and admission is free.
