Two years after making his Wilkes-Barre debut, and just one night after taking part in a sold-out Experience Hendrix concert, Dweezil Zappa announced his return to the Kirby Center on July 11 at 8 p.m.

Tickets for Zappa Plays Zappa go on sale March 28th at 10 a.m., and a special Kirby Member Pre-Sale begins this today at 10 a.m.

Prior to the performance, the Kirby Center will host the “Dweezil Zappa Guitar Master Class – Dweezilla on the Road,” which includes a 60-minute lesson on guitar techniques from the son of Frank Zappa and is priced at $75.

…flies through the air with the greatest of ease?

The performers of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, who will present Super Circus Heroes at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza from April 17 through 19 with six performances.

Ringling Bros. offers face-time with performers starting at the interactive All Access Pre-show, which takes place on the arena floor one hour before the show and is free to all ticket holders.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. April 17, 3 and 7 p.m. April 18, and 11 a.m., 3, and 7 p.m. April 19.

Tickets start at $25. Opening night and military tickets are only $15. Additional fees may apply. All seats are reserved, and tickets are available at tickemaster.com, by calling 800.745.3000, or at the NBT Bank Box Office at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Birchwood Fitness (105 Edella Rd., South Abington) is holding a free, 90-minute seminar for distance athletes on April 12 at 1 p.m. Registration is required by April 10.

This training will impart the knowledge of warm-up techniques to lengthen stride, strategies to aid in recovery and reduce injuries, and much more.

The Wyoming Area Kiwanis Club and the WA Key Club are bringing the group to the WA High School on March 27 at 6 p.m. to play a team of players picked who represent the district as students, leaders, and coaches, giving those in the community a chance to cheer on their own.
