“It’s hard to believe this car has been in my family for almost 50 years now,” Reynolds said. “But it has. It was purchased new in February of 1968 by my grandfather who used it as his daily driver car to work for 11 years or so. He kept it in their garage when he bought his next car, and after he died my grandmother offered the Impala to my father and uncles, but none of them wanted it, so I took ownership of it and restored it to (hopefully) showroom condition. It doesn’t get driven anymore in the snow or rain, just on sunny days in the late spring and summer, when I’m sure all the salt is off the road. It is a big car, a powerful car, it can do things that these modern day cars can only dream of.”
