It is an exciting time to be apart of the Marywood community as we welcome our 11th president, Sr. Anne Munley, and the Class of 2011! The campus continues to grow in structure, faculty, staff and student body, with nearly 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
Marywood will soon be receiving the Maslow Art Collection as well as a $2.3 million endowment from the Maslow Family Foundation. The endowment has provided funding for remodeling the Shields Center for Visual Arts, a curator for the collection and support for the Arts Administration curriculum.
The renovation of Madonna Hall is now complete, and students and staff are very happy with the final outcome. The hall now has an interactive lobby with a student lounge that features a large flat-screen television, many windows for adequate lighting, suit style rooms, air conditioning and themed lounges on each floor.
Last fall, Marywood became one of the first campuses to introduce a program that sends text message alerts to cell phones. E2Campus is a selective mass notification system that allows Marywood to send time-sensitive messages to cell phones to inform everyone of emergency situations, class cancellations, weather conditions and even activities on campus. Security strongly urges all students and staff to register for the E2Campus Service. Visit to sign up.
On Thurs., Sept. 20, the Business Department is hosting a forum on Ethical Leadership and Corporate Social Responsibility. The forum begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Crystal Room, Nazareth Hall.
