Pop culture and horror fans get ready, this weekend, September 5-7 at The Woodlands Inn and Resort hosts the Weekend of Fear II.

This pop culture con is much different than the Comicons we all see plastered over the SYFY channel as it encompasses many different genres and things to do. There is really something for everyone, there will be horror TV and film stars such as Jeremy Ambler (The Walking Dead) Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th parts 7-10, Jason Vorhees) Tom Savini (Dusk Till Dawn, Planet Terror) and many more. If you aren’t into horror, there will also be WWE wrestling legends Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Boogeyman, Tito Santana, Gene Snitsky and Justin Credible. For cult movie lovers, Brian O’Halloran, Marilyn Ghigliotti, Ernie O’Donnell and Scott Schiaffo from the film series Clerks will be appearing as well as Ming Chen from AMC’s Comic Book Men.

The nice thing about this event, is that it is about the fans. There are no special VIP packages or expensive photo opportunities. It is a fan friendly meet and greet and everyone will have the same opportunities to get up in close and person with their favorite stars.

In addition to the meet and greets, there is a whole line up of fun events scheduled for the weekend. The fun starts Friday night at 5pm with vendors and autographs until 10pm. After, put together your best cosplay outfits and come out for the best costume party this side of the Susquehanna at 10:30pm. The winner of this contest gets the opportunity for a private dinner with Brian O’Halloran of Clerks and David Madison of Mr. Hush.

The fun continues all weekend long. Saturday will have meet and greet and Q&A opportunities from 11am until 7pm. Saturday night, starting at 9:30pm warm up your vocal chords and get ready for celebrity karaoke. The festival wraps up on Sunday with a childrens costume parade at noon and has autograph, special panels and vendor time from 11am-4pm.
