Summer is unofficially over, but some hot days are still lingering.

Many people are anxious to start drinking pumpkin lattes and salted caramel apple cider, but with temperatures still hitting 60 degrees, sometimes hotter, it’s convenient to keep in mind there’s a frozen alternative to those fall treats.

Josie’s Italian Ice, in Kingston, is serving up caramel apple pie and pumpkin sundaes, but only until Oct. 13. Then they call it quits until next season.

The caramel apple pie is made of vanilla custard, bits of pie crust, apples and caramels. The pumpkin sundae entices with pumpkin custard, caramel and bits of pie crust. Both sundaes are topped with whipped cream, nuts and a cherry.

One of each of these treats costs less than $9.
